Use the installation sequence to reach the game, or check the file and launch branches if preparation stops.
Have the runtime and game files ready
The published 2.4.1 ZIP is 74,755,098 bytes (about 71.29 MiB). That is the compressed program package, not the full game or the final space requirement. Check the hardware and storage requirements before downloading.
The selected game folder must contain eboot.bin, sce_module and sce_sys. A PS3 God of War III executable is a different input. A standalone PKG is not the extracted folder this launcher asks you to select; prepare your own compatible game files before this sequence.
The port version and game version are independent. Installing port 2.4.1 does not install PS4 update 01.02. If you keep an update in a separate extracted folder, choose it under Game → Update folder. Do not treat the runtime ZIP as a game update.

Install and launch the Windows package
Get the maintainer’s package
Open the 2.4.1 release and download
gow3-windows.zip. Keep any existing installation and its saves separate.Extract the ZIP
Extract to a folder such as
C:\Games\gow3-windows. Run the extracted program rather than launching from inside the archive.Select the game folder
Open
God of War III.exe, choose Choose the game folder, then use Game → Game folder → Browse to select the folder containingeboot.bin. The unsigned executable can trigger Windows SmartScreen; verify that the file came from the intended release before deciding whether to run it.Confirm the recognized game
Return to Home and check that the cover and title/version information match your dump. The README’s example is CUSA01623, version 01.02; your displayed information must match your own files.
Save, then PLAY
Click Save for pending settings, then PLAY. Allow the first-start image preparation to proceed. Reaching the game menu and then gameplay confirms those launch stages; it does not establish that later levels are free of bugs.
Read the result before changing the setup
A Loading shader cache note can indicate background work. No measured universal first-start duration is published. A process that exits, an explicit prepare error and a moving loading screen require different checks in the launch-error guide and loading guide.
The older full-01.02 crash report named code=0xa0020014; 2.4.0 still lists startup failures on some systems. Do not assume an arbitrary downloaded replacement executable fixes your dump. Preserve the failed run’s log and compare the release, title ID and exact error.
For later launches, Play God of War III.exe uses saved settings without opening the launcher window. Keep the installation’s user directory when updating; the backup and update procedure explains what to preserve.
